Wednesday was a great day for Brad Orosey, as Orosey tossed a shutout to carry the Alpine Cowboys (36-22) to a 4-0 victory over the Las Cruces Vaqueros (16-41) at Apodoca Park.

The Alpine Cowboys got the win thanks in large part to Orosey's dominant, 12-strikeout performance. The Alpine Cowboys' pitcher gave up just five hits over nine shutout innings.

Derrick Fox reached base four times in the game for the Alpine Cowboys. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

The Alpine Cowboys' lineup had no answer for Sal Minichino. The Alpine Cowboys managed just two hits off of the the Las Cruces Vaqueros' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Nico Lytle (0-1) took the loss for the Las Cruces Vaqueros. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
