The White Sands Pupfish (16-11) shut the door early on the Alpine Cowboys (14-13), capturing a 12-6 victory on Monday at Kokernot Field.

Seven runs in the first three innings allowed the White Sands Pupfish to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Michael Brandi, an RBI single by Joe Borowski, and a two-run single by Aaron Nardone during the first inning and an RBI single by Brandi, an RBI double by Wesley Wallace, and an RBI single by Borowski in the second inning supplied the early offense for the White Sands Pupfish.

The Alpine Cowboys couldn't slow down Brandi, who paced the White Sands Pupfish with five hits.

Derrick Fox racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He singled in the seventh and eighth innings.
