He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the third and seventh innings.T.J. Bennett racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the fourth, seventh, and ninth innings.
Kevin Jefferis improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.
Evan Boyd (0-6) took the loss for the Schaumburg Boomers. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.
The Normal CornBelters' Sam Judah, Santiago Chirino and Dudley combined for six hits and five RBIs.
