Allen helps the Evansville Otters down the Washington Wild Things 6-5

Josh Allen collected three hits as the Evansville Otters (48-42) took home a 6-5 victory over the Washington Wild Things (39-51) at CONSOL Energy Park on Sunday.

He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

The Washington Wild Things' lineup had no answer for Connor Little. Little held the Washington Wild Things hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Tyler Vail improved to 9-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Evansville Otters. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Jeremy Holcombe (1-4) took the loss for the Washington Wild Things. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
