The Washington Wild Things (38-49) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Traverse City Beach Bums (52-33) roared back to steal a 2-1 victory at Wuerfel Park.
While the Washington Wild Things led until the fourth inning, the Traverse City Beach Bums worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run double by Brandon Jacobs.
The Traverse City Beach Bums got the win thanks in large part to Ian MacDougall's dominant, seven-strikeout performance. MacDougall allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over seven innings.
A bright spot for the Washington Wild Things in the defeat was Jon Klein, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.
Klein was charged with his first loss of the year.
