An ace performance by Vincent Molesky hoisted the Gateway Grizzlies (33-49) to a 3-2 win over the Washington Wild Things (36-47) on Saturday at Consol Energy Park.

Molesky's nine strikeouts were enough to push the Gateway Grizzlies past the Washington Wild Things. The Gateway Grizzlies' pitcher gave up just three hits over 7 2/3 shutout innings.

Grant Buckner was solid at the plate for the Gateway Grizzlies. Buckner went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Jimmy Yezzo racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Washington Wild Things. He homered in the ninth inning.

Jeremy Holcombe couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Washington Wild Things, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
