The Joliet Slammers (22-29) didn't stand a chance on Sunday, as the Southern Illinois Miners (32-19) captured a blowout 15-4 win at Silver Cross Field.

Michael Carden ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked four and struck out two.

The Southern Illinois Miners pounded the Joliet Slammers pitching, as six hitters combined for 17 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
