Richard Lucas went 2-2 and hit a home run, helping the Normal CornBelters (28-18) to a 4-3 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers (20-26) on Tuesday at The Corn Crib.

Alexi Colon was solid at the plate for the Schaumburg Boomers. Colon went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the second and ninth innings.

Michael Schweiss improved to 4-5 on the year by picking up the win for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered nine hits.

Scotty Ward (1-1) took the loss for the Schaumburg Boomers. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
