Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Frontier Greys (11-14) outscored the Rockford Aviators (17-9) 15-9.
The two teams combined for 28 hits in the game.
The Frontier Greys left no doubt in the outcome with six runs in the fifth. The Frontier Greys scored in the fifth on a double by Brandon Tierney, an RBI single by Dillon Haupt, a two-run single by Shane Brown, an error, , and a fielder's choice.
Scott Carcaise put himself in scoring position with four extra-base hits for the Frontier Greys. He homered in the seventh inning and doubled in the first, third, and ninth innings.
Bobby Shore struck out seven hitters en route to the the Frontier Greys win. Shore allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks over five innings.
Kyle Allen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out one.
