A six-run seventh inning sealed a 12-2 win for the Gateway Grizzlies (6-14) over the River City Rascals (11-8) on Friday at GCS Ballpark.

The Gateway Grizzlies scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Rolando Gomez, an error, an RBI single by Richard Seigel, a two-run single by Garrett Vail, and an RBI single by Madison Beaird.

Ben Waldrip racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the second inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Max Schonfeld improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. Schonfeld struck out two, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Santos Saldivar (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
