The White Sands Pupfish (27-32) didn't have a chance on Monday, as the Alpine Cowboys (45-20) won in blowout fashion, 10-4 at Alamogordo NM.

The Alpine Cowboys scored four runs in the fourth on the Alpine Cowboys scored in the fourth on a two-run single by Tim Henry, an RBI single by Collin Forgey, and an RBI single by Forgey.

The Alpine Cowboys were led by Riley Smith's hitting. Smith went 3-5 and scored three runs. He singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.

Travis Renwick brought the heat against the White Sands Pupfish during his outing. Renwick held the White Sands Pupfish hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

The White Sands Pupfish were led by Miguel Castano's hitting. Castano went 3-5 and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

David Gates got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over 2 2/3 innings. Gates struck out four, walked one and gave up two hits.

Seth McWilliams (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
