Story by Narrative Science.

The Trinidad Triggers (7-6) and the Las Vegas Train Robbers (4-11) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Trinidad Triggers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-5 win at Rodriguez Park.

The fact that the Trinidad Triggers grouped all of their runs into the third inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

A bright spot for the Las Vegas Train Robbers in the defeat was Josh Tols, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers were led by Shane Casey's hitting. Casey went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Jeff Lyons improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Trinidad Triggers. He allowed three runs over six innings. Lyons struck out six, walked one and gave up nine hits.
