The Joliet Slammers (26-39) continued to pile up the runs on Thursday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 13-2 win over the Frontier Greys (22-43) at Silver Cross Field.

The Joliet Slammers scored six runs in the fifth on the Joliet Slammers scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Grant DeBruin, an RBI single by Russell Moldenhauer, a three-run home run by Adam Giacalone, and an RBI single by Christopher Epps.

Matt Weaver racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the eighth inning.

Travis Bradshaw's six strikeouts were enough to push the Joliet Slammers past the Frontier Greys. The Joliet Slammers' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only five hits.

Zach Tanner had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth and ninth innings.

Lamarre Rey (2-4) took the loss for the Frontier Greys. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.

The Joliet Slammers hammered the Frontier Greys pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 11 hits, 13 RBIs and nine runs scored.
