The Rockford Aviators (22-26) and the Frontier Greys (14-36) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Rockford Aviators that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Aviator Stadium.

Joey Wagman got the win for the Rockford Aviators thanks to seven strikeouts. Wagman allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings.

A bright spot for the Frontier Greys in the defeat was Clint Wright, who allowed only three runs while striking out six.

Wright ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year.
