The Rockford Aviators (16-17) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the Lake Erie Crushers (18-17) on Wednesday.
While the Rockford Aviators led until the eighth inning, the Lake Erie Crushers worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Anderson Hidalgo.
Brad Duffy put together a nice outing. Duffy held the Rockford Aviators hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Jason Wilson improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. Wilson struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.
Michael Schaub couldn't get it done on the mound for the Rockford Aviators, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
