A great effort by Josh Ludy hoisted the River City Rascals (21-13) to a 13-7 win over the Joliet Slammers (14-19) on Tuesday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.

Ludy racked up six RBIs on two hits for the River City Rascals. He homered in the first and sixth innings.

The River City Rascals blew out the Joliet Slammers thanks to nine hits, including zero extra base hits. The River City Rascals scored six runs in the sixth on the River City Rascals scored in the sixth on , , a hit by pitch, and a solo home run by Ludy.

The Joliet Slammers couldn't get anything going as long as Kyle Brady was pitching. The Joliet Slammers managed just one hit off of Brady, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Patrick Crider recorded his first win of the year for the River City Rascals. Crider struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Chase Doremus (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
