The River City Rascals (16-9) jumped on the Traverse City Beach Bums (11-15) early on their way to a 6-2 win on Saturday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark, scoring three runs in the first inning.

The River City Rascals scored in the first on a groundout by Saxon Butler and a three-run home run by Josh Ludy.

Zach Kometani had two extra-base hits for the River City Rascals. He singled in the second inning, homered in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Traverse City Beach Bums' Casey Roche. Roche went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Tommy Organ got the win for the River City Rascals. He allowed one run over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Alex Phillips (0-1) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.

The River City Rascals' Taylor Ard, Curran Redal, Ludy and Kometani combined for nine hits and four RBIs.
