The Florence Freedom (10-10) beat the Normal CornBelters (6-13) 6-3 in eight innings on Sunday at The Corn Crib behind Ryan Miller, who collected three hits.

Chuck Weaver picked up the win for the Florence Freedom. Weaver allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out two over six innings of work.

Aaron Dudley was solid at the plate for the Normal CornBelters. Dudley went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

Drew Provence ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
