Both the River City Rascals (3-1) and the Normal CornBelters (1-3) put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the River City Rascals that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-4 win at The Corn Crib.

Hector Crespo reached base three times in the game for the River City Rascals. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He doubled in the fifth inning.

Craig Goodman pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out three.

Sam Judah had a hot bat for the Normal CornBelters. Judah went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the seventh and eighth innings.

Nick Kennedy recorded his first win of the year for the River City Rascals. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. Kennedy struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Alan Oaks was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
