The Rockford Aviators (20-38)'s three first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 7-2 win over the Traverse City Beach Bums (36-23) on Saturday at Aviators Stadium.
Jeff Kremer was hot from the plate for the Rockford Aviators. Kremer went 3-4, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the first, third, and fourth innings.
The Traverse City Beach Bums' lineup had no answer for Matt Frahm. Frahm held the Traverse City Beach Bums hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Jacob Clem ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked one and struck out three.
