The River City Rascals (20-26) beat the Gateway Grizzlies (29-17) 6-2 in seven innings on Wednesday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark behind Steve Carrillo, who went 2-2 and hit a home run.

Cory Caruso picked up the win for the River City Rascals. Caruso pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out four.

Antone DeJesus was solid at the plate for the Gateway Grizzlies. DeJesus went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Ryan Hartman pitched lights out for the Gateway Grizzlies. Hartman gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Matt Sergey (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked five and struck out none.
