The San Angelo Colts (6-5) built an early lead against the Alexandria Aces (5-6), scoring five runs in the first inning, en route to a 8-3 win on Saturday at Bringhurst Field.

Jon Dziomba went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the San Angelo Colts. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first, second, and sixth innings.

Demetrius Banks's 10 strikeouts helped the San Angelo Colts to the victory. Banks allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks over six innings.

Austin Newell reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning.

Ryan Waters (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked one and struck out five.
