The Windy City ThunderBolts (38-40) beat the Washington Wild Things (36-43) 5-4 but needed 11 innings to do so on Monday at CONSOL Energy Park.

With the Windy City ThunderBolts trailing by one in the ninth inning, Chase Tucker came to the plate and singled, bringing home Andrew Brauer.

Evan Button got on base three times in the game for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Wes Torrez brought the heat against the Washington Wild Things during his outing. The Washington Wild Things managed just one hit off of the the Windy City ThunderBolts' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

A bright spot for the Washington Wild Things in the defeat was Dayne Quist, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.

Michael Click improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Zach Fleshman (1-2) took the loss for the Washington Wild Things. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
