It took 10 innings, but the Florence Freedom (33-24) managed to put away the Schaumburg Boomers (32-26) 8-5 on Wednesday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

James Bierlein ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
