The Windy City ThunderBolts (18-27) beat the Traverse City Beach Bums (26-18) 9-6 on Saturday at Standard Bank Stadium behind Ryan Soares, who went 2-3.

The Traverse City Beach Bums had no answer for Reese McGraw, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. McGraw gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his two innings of work.

Chase Burch reached base three times in the game for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

Dyllon Nuernberg improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He allowed three runs over five innings. Nuernberg struck out six, walked three and gave up four hits.

Kyle Teague (1-1) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The Windy City ThunderBolts easily handled the Traverse City Beach Bums pitching as six hitters combined for 14 hits, seven RBIs and eight runs scored.
