Three first-inning runs helped the River City Rascals (12-17) to a 4-1 win over the Rockford Aviators (6-23) at T. R. Hughes Ballpark on Thursday.

Phil Wunderlich racked up three RBIs on two hits for the River City Rascals. He homered in the first innings and singled in the fourth inning.

The Rockford Aviators couldn't get anything going as long as Craig Goodman was on the mound. The Rockford Aviators managed just two hits off of Goodman, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out seven during his six innings of work.

Nick Anderson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
