Early lead gives the Florence Freedom easy victory over the Evansville Otters, 10-4

The Florence Freedom (16-13) took down the Evansville Otters (19-9) 10-4 on Sunday at Bosse Field after slamming the Evansville Otters with seven runs in the second inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Florence Freedom's Kyle Bluestein. Bluestein went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the third inning.

The Evansville Otters couldn't get anything going as long as Michael Oros was on the mound. The Evansville Otters managed just two hits off of Oros, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Andrew Clark went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Evansville Otters. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Rich Hawkins was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked none and struck out one.

The Florence Freedom pounded the Evansville Otters pitching, as six hitters combined for 10 hits, eight RBIs and seven runs scored.
