The Gateway Grizzlies cough up lead, the Road Warriors win 5-4

The Road Warriors (3-5) trailed by three in the sixth, but Wesley Jones was able to capture the lead back with a solo home run in the seventh, spurring the Road Warriors to a 5-4 win over the Gateway Grizzlies (39-29) at GCS Ballpark - Sauget, IL on Wednesday.

With the score tied at four in the seventh inning, Jones came to the plate and homered.

Jones racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Road Warriors. He homered in the seventh inning.

Chris Kaminski put together a nice outing. Kaminski held the Gateway Grizzlies hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Jon Myers led the Gateway Grizzlies' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning.

Jared Christensen recorded his first win of the year for the Road Warriors. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Phillip Reamy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
